21When all the people were being baptized, Jesus was baptized too. And as He was praying, heaven was opened 22and the Holy Spirit descended on Him in bodily form like a dove. And a voice came from heaven: “You are my Son, whom I love, with you I am well pleased.” (Luke 3:21-22, The Jesus Bible)
Many Blessings to you my friends! Our little angel, baby SGZ3, decided she did not want to sleep at 2 AM this morning, so it enabled me to get on the computer and put a quick post together. I do not have much to add to the verses above, except that I witnessed (through social media) one of the coolest Baptisms I have ever seen this past weekend. This led me to discover a mighty man doing big things in the name of Jesus Christ, who is opening doors for even mightier men to become the torch bearers to light the fire of revival that this world desperately needs.
I invite you to spend some time exploring Steve Weatherford’s work, by clicking here to land on his website. He has what appears to be a pretty powerful podcast, which I started exploring yesterday on Spotify. His YouTube channel can be found here. Mr. Weatherford is demonstrating how to be the hands and feet of Jesus Christ and what he did this last weekend was incredible.
Pastor Holly Furtick, despite it being Mother’s Day, took over the pulpit and spoke a powerful word, which was only fitting because the point of her message was that there is a lot of work to be done. She said it best: “Be Strong, Do the Work”. Click the image below to hear where she gets her strength from, and more about this work that has to be done.
I am pressed on time, but I will be back on Friday to talk more about the work we need to be doing. But until then, I invite you to spend time in prayer and thanksgiving, to focus on the love of Jesus, which is as endless as “the sands of a thousand shores”.
Thanks for your unceasing passi
