28One of the teachers of the law came and heard them debating. Noticing that Jesus had given them a good answer, he asked Him, “Of all the commandments, which is the most important?”
29“The most important one,” answered Jesus, “is this: ‘Hear, O Israel: The Lord our God, the Lord is One. 30Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind and with all your strength.’ 31The second is this: ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.’ There is no commandment greater than these.” (Mark 12:28-31, The Jesus Bible)
Hello Family! It’s been nine whole days since my last post. To say I have been busy is an understatement. I am sitting here in almost disbelief that nine days has actually passed by. That’s nine days of me missing out sharing new music with y’all. Nine days of missing out sharing my thoughts of what I am reading in the Bible, which brings me to the most important factor of being so busy lately: that’s nine days where I did not crack open my Bible. Nine days of grinding, nine days of spinning my wheels and not furthering my development as a Disciple of Christ. I am not sure about y’all, but I definitely miss soaking in the Spirit, and I have missed basking in His presence this last week. But there have been little moments where I felt that whisper. And I see His blessings all around me each and everyday.
Yesterday, I was able to finish reading the Book of Mark from “The Original Gospels”. I have not been able to read to the baby from the Old Testament since I last got on here. But luckily for all of us, I read through the verses above and I was reminded of the Greatest Commandments, which is the motto of this ministry: Love God and Love People.
It is that simple folks. Love God. Love People. Love the Creator. Protect and respect all of Creation. Love People, the greatest creation God stitched together in this world. Two simple Commandments to follow. Yet we make it so much more complicated than it was ever meant to be. Let’s all get back to those two basic principles and focus on simply loving God and loving People. What can we do everyday to protect God’s creations? What can we do everyday to radiate love to all those we interact with? Let’s do all we can to slow down, stop letting the busyness of this life keep us from living the lives God designed us for.
To give y’all some deeper insight into the Spirit, I want to get right into sharing Pastor Steven Furtick’s message from last Sunday. Another anointed word THAT will get your fired up and remind you all THAT God does in our lives.
There has been a plethora of great new music released in the Christian Music world, it was hard to pick which song to share today, but this new banger from Lecrae is a perfect mix to get back into the swing of things. Hopefully I will be on here more in the coming days, but until then, may God continue to bless you all!
