CSR Daily Devotion

Good afternoon Family! This year is coming to an end at an incredibly fast rate, but I suppose that is normal for the holidays. We are scrambling to put together something worthy of our King and fun for y’all at the same time. Today, I just wanted to remind everyone on here, if you are on Facebook, we invite you to join our group by clicking here.

Back to my Top 10 songs of 2020. I’m starting with another two-way tie for number six.

6. Natalie Grant: Who Else/No StrangerMrs. Grant’s latest album was an absolute masterpiece released back in September. She had actually been dropping singles from this collection over a two year span, starting with one of my favorites from her: Isn’t He (This Jesus). The single below came out this year and was a strong addition to the music that helped lift us up through this turbulent year.

The title track to the album has another powerful, symphonic background to match with Mrs. Grant’s dominant vocals. But what really carries this song for me are the words she sings: Jesus is no stranger to our hurt, our pain, our struggles. And Jesus, is no stranger, to me.

5. Richlin: Jesus, You’re the Wine: This song reminds me that 2020 was not all that bad. For one, 2020 brought us this new artist who put out three premium songs that made our year. And this one, for reasons I can not clearly explain, was one song that was on my repeat list month after month. Maybe it’s Richlin’s unique voice, or the catchy beats, or that he’s singing about wine, but there’s something absolutely unique and special about this one and that’s why it breaks the top 5!

December 29

6He said to me:  “It is done.  I am the Alpha and the Omega, the Beginning and the End.  To the thirsty I will give water without cost from the spring of the water of life.  7Those who are victorious will inherit all this, and I will be their God and they will be my children.  8But the cowardly, the unbelieving, the vile, the murderers, the sexually immoral, those who practice magic arts, the idolaters and all liars – they will be consigned to the fiery lake of burning sulfur.  This is the second death.”  (Revelation 21:6-8)

God closes the vision He blessed John with stating the same titles He began with:  the Alpha and the Omega, the Beginning and the End.  This year has come to an end.  As 2021 begins, march boldly forward into your new life in Christ.  Let Jesus be the Alpha and Omega and everything in between you can let go.

Prayer and meditation:  Pray that America begins to practice a more healthy lifestyle.  Pray that when everyone makes their fitness and health resolutions in two days, they have the strength to follow them through.  I pray you all take what you loved about this year and keep training, keep getting stronger, keep bettering yourself and your life.

Fitness challenge:  AMRAP (As Many Rounds As Possible):  Do a good stretch and then do as many round as possible of the following in 15-minutes:

  1. 10 x Jumping Squats
  2. 10 x Situps
  3. 20 x jumping lunges (10 each leg)
  4. 10 x Cross punch sit-up
  5. 20 x Flowsteps (10-each leg)

Run:  Tuesday is our interval running: Run four miles, jogging for two-minutes, “sprinting” for 60 seconds.
