CSR Daily Devotion

Today I want to share a track from the second full album released last Friday, and that comes from one of Christian Music’s rising stars: I Am They.

October 28

8Above all, love each other deeply, because love covers over a multitude of sins.  9Offer hospitality to one another without grumbling.  10Each of you should use whatever gift you have received to serve others, as faithful stewards of God’s grace in its various forms. If anyone speaks, they should do so as one who speaks the very words of God.  11If anyone serves, they should do so with the strength God provides, so that in all things God may be praised through Jesus Christ.  To him be the glory and the power for ever and ever.  Amen.   (1 Peter 4:8-11)

Peter drops this paragraph in mid chapter like it’s not one of the simplest, yet most powerful summaries of the Christian faith.  Love each other deeply.  Offer hospitality without complaining about it.  Use your God-given gifts to serve others.  And to Him be the glory and power.  Wow, beautiful prose.  Not much more I can add to this but to have you read it again:

Prayer and meditation:  Pray for our country.  Pray for love to conquer all.  Pray for peace and common sense to infect the minds of Americans.  Pray for civility and calm and for Christians to be a beacon of hope and consistency for all those who may face increased anxiety in this coming month.  Pray for revival that is permanent and world changing.
