August 31
7I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith. 8Now there is in store for me the crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous Judge, will award to me on that day-and not only to me, but also to all who have longed for His appearing. (2 Timothy 4:7-8)
When I get to the end of my life, whenever that may be, I want to be able to say that I’ve fought the good fight and finished the race. But what exactly does that mean?
You might interpret it differently than me, but I think it means that I’ve lived my life solely for God and brought as many people as I could to know Him.
I think it’s important to bring a little sunshine to everyone you meet and leave them happier than you found them. The devil is constantly bringing people down and Jesus uses us to lift them back up. This is all part of fighting the good fight.

Reading plan: Reflect
Deeper reading plan: Lamentations 5
Prayer and meditation: Pray for our country. Pray for love to conquer all. Pray that Christ infects our hearts and ignites a final fire of revival to sweep this land.
Fitness challenge: Rest-yes you read that right, today is an extra rest day. For September, we are changing everything…
SEPTEMBER
September is going to bring a refreshing blast of wisdom and activity. As we approach fall, I hope you live in an area that starts seeing temperatures dropping and giving way to cooler weather. I’m excited about our reading plans and the word I am able to share with y’all.
Reading Plan: We will finish Paul’s last two letters. The Book of Titus, a letter to the head of the first Christian church at Crete. Just like in his letters to the Pastor Timothy, Paul writes a letter of encouragement to Pastor Titus. Paul’s last book, Philemon, is a short letter to a brother in Christ about the forgiveness of his former slave.
We’ll spend most of the month looking at the Book of Hebrews, a fantastic letter written by an unknown author to the Hebrew people, you know, God’s chosen lineage and the people that crucified Christ. Hebrews is one of my favorite books of the New Testament, and hopefully I’ll be able to translate that love to you.
Deeper Reading Plan: This month we will read my favorite book of the Old Testament, Ezekiel, which has some of the most vivid imagery in the Bible. We’ll end the month with the Book of Daniel.
Prayer and Meditation: We will focus our prayers to protecting these younger generations going back to school and for those infected with COVID to only have mild, if no, symptoms. We will continue to cry out for a final revival to sweep this land.
Fitness: Welcome to the start of a 100-day challenge. 5 exercises to do everyday (except Sundays). Each day we will increase the reps by 1. This month will be easy, October and November will be a challenge. We are also running six days a week.
Service and Church: Keep looking for ways to serve one day a week and hopefully we see churches reopen this month. When they do, get involved and become a servant for your church body.
