You might be seeing two emails today, hopefully. I was busy typing my intro paragraph when somehow WordPress loaded and then published the page two sentences in. I was in the middle discussing Hope Darst, who I am sharing another song off her amazing debut album today. Yesterday, I spent some time giving her album another good listen to pick my favorite three or four songs to share with y’all, and it suddenly dawned on me that I had no idea where Ms. Darst came from. I mean, I knew she just recently appeared on the Christian Music scene with her hit cover of Peace Be Still. But who was Ms. Darst? Well, she’s one of the co-writer’s of Peace Be Still, the song which launched The Belonging Co to prominence when Lauren Daigle sang it for TBC’s debut album. Ms. Darst is a worship leader at TBC and last week she graced the world with her first solo work, which I can’t stop listening to. I think after the next three days, you’ll feel the same way!

9He has saved us and called us to a holy life-not because of anything we have done but because of His own purpose and grace. This grace was given us in Christ Jesus before the beginning of time, 10but it has now been revealed through the appearing of our Savior, Christ Jesus, who has destroyed death and has brought life and immortality to light through the gospel. (2 Timothy 1:9, 10)
Have you ever been rewarded for bad behavior? Have you ever been chosen for a great position and you absolutely did not deserve it? Your answer is probably: absolutely not! Who would reward someone for bad behavior? But guess what? You are wrong. God chose us. He saves us, to be His holy people, His children, He is rewarding us. He wants us to inherit His kingdom, and we did absolutely nothing to deserve it. That’s how much He loves us. No matter how hard we try to be on our best behavior, we still fail everyday. And He forgives us everyday. He still loves us everyday, regardless of the amount of times we say we aren’t going to indulge in that sin again, yet we find ourselves repeating it over and over again. Even though we can find comfort in knowing He will forgive us, let’s work on lowering the amount of times we have to ask for it.
