Sorry for the late post, it was a crazy night at work. Yesterday’s New Music Friday Christian was not the hit-after-hit of new singles we saw last week, but there were a handful of great new music, with two notable album releases: Hope Darst’s debut album, Peace Be Still; and the newest hip-hop treasure from Lecrae, Restoration. But before we get to those albums, I’ll share some of the better singles from this week, starting with this one below.
5For there is one God and one mediator between God and mankind, the man Christ Jesus, 6who gave Himself as a ransom for all people. This has now been witnessed to at the proper time. (1 Timothy 2:5, 6)
Mediator: “a person who attempts to make people involved in a conflict come to an agreement(Oxford dictionary).”
Jesus was the ultimate mediator. He died so that we could be forgiven and live. The ultimate peacemaker. I don’t know if any of you have taken the Enneagram test to determine which “number” you are but I highly suggest that you do. For the ones who have no idea what I’m talking about, just GOOGLE “Enneagram Test” and you will find out. The reason I bring this up is that I’m a “9” on the Enneagram scale, which is a “peacemaker.” After reading the above verses, I got all excited thinking surely Jesus must be a “9” as well!
But, after some research, I realized Jesus is a little of all the personality types. The best personality traits of each number are ones that Jesus exhibits. If you don’t believe me, and even if you do, I suggest you look them up, it’s really quite interesting. After further thought, I came to realize that He created us all differently with unique personality traits. We are meant to use these traits to bring people the Gospel, just like Jesus did! I’ll give you a rundown of the Enneagram numbers, but it’s really interesting to research them yourself and attribute them to Jesus.
