CSR Daily Devotion

Good morning y’all! Our kids have completed their first week back at school. They are bouncing off the walls everyday with excitement being around kids their age again. We pray for their protection and we are confident God will keep them safe and healthy. The song I am sharing today is a beautiful reminder of the God we serve. The Creator of the universe is our eternal provider, do not be afraid.

1I urge, then, first of all, that petitions, prayers, intercession and thanksgiving be made for all people-2for kings and all those in authority, that we may live peaceful and quiet lives in all godliness and holiness.  3This is good, and pleases God our Savior, 4who wants all people to be saved and to come to a knowledge of the truth.  (1 Timothy 2:1-4)

What if, instead of bashing and persecuting those in authority (including politicians) we pray for them instead. We may not agree with their words and actions, but it’s not up to us to judge. I’m so guilty of this, especially lately. But we are Children of Jesus. We are called to be like Him. We can’t go around slandering people (even those in authority). Please pray for them instead. Pray for their salvation. If God can take someone like Paul and forgive and transform him to be one of the greatest followers of Christ, then God can most certainly do the same for those we think the least of. Pray for them to know Jesus and that His wisdom and guidance infiltrates their lives.
