Common Sense Reborn

While it is Sunday, which is the day to watch your favorite church sermons LIVE, I finished listening to Elevation Church‘s message from last week and it was so incredible I wanted to share it with you today.

August 2

¹¹For you know that we dealt with each of you as a father deals with his own children, ¹²encouraging, comforting and urging you to live lives worthy of God, who call you into his kingdom and glory.  (1 Thessalonians 2:11-12)

I wanted to highlight these verses for the simple fact that Paul describes a father dealing with his own children as one who encourages, comforts, and urges his children to live lives worthy of God.  We could change the face of this nation if this were how fathers actually raised their children.  Unfortunately, there are too many males that do not even stick around to be any type of father at all, let alone one that does the things described above.  I call them males because they are not men, real men raise their children, whether they are planned or not.  We can alter the path this country is quickly descending down if we just invest the time in being better fathers, and even fatherly figures.  Even if you do not have children of your own, you may have nieces or nephews.  Be a man that encourages the children in your world to live lives worthy of God.  Encourage and motivate young children to understand who Jesus is and the love He has for all of mankind.  Teach them how to be righteous and filled with grace.  Teach them to treat everyone with compassion and to promote peace.  We can be the generation that points the future of this country toward the right path, the true path that leads to a lifetime of love and freedom.

Prayer and meditation:  Pray for our country.  Pray for love to conquer all.  Pray that Christ infects our hearts and ignites a final fire of revival to sweep this land.

Worship:  Spend today in prayer and worship.  Get to church or get to a computer and watch church.  America needs a revival like never before.
