“…and I say to myself that hate is too great a burden to bear. I have decided to love. If you are seeking the highest good, I think you can find it through love.” Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. “Where Do We Go From Here?”
I wish you all a blessed, solemn day of remembrance on this sacred holiday. As I grow older, I realize how special the man, the Doctor, the Reverend, the Saint, Martin Luther King, Jr was for this generation. Have you ever sat down and listened to his speeches in their entirety? What a brilliant, intellectual Dr. King was! I am currently listening to the end of the great speech “Where Do We Go From Here?” and I will be sharing it below. I do hope you take some time today to celebrate the man that was MLK, Jr. A man who unwavering stood for love, peace, equality for all, and did so from the pulpit, from roots deep in true Christian philosophy. Listen to the speech posted below. Hear the words and brilliance of the man America celebrates today, and soak in the heroics of a man who stood for peace when many wanted him destroyed, a man who proclaimed love over pure hatred and spoke words wiser than the majority of this nation has ever seen and has not seen since. Let his death never be in vain, that we start each year focusing on the most important philosopher in the 20th century. And after hearing this, go forth and speak peace and love. May God Bless You, may Jesus’ love saturate your soul, and may the Holy Spirit embolden you to action.
