Common Sense REBORN Devotion

January 5

“We find ourselves racked with anxiety, exhaustion, bitterness, and frustration because the sandcastles we have worked so hard to build are wiped away by the rising tides and cruel waves that crash on our lives.”  (Gray, Derwin; “God, do you hear me?” pg 3)

Welcome to 2022 family!  This blog is going to take on a new challenge as we branch out from the Holy Bible to give you some new content.  I will review our reading plan below, and also give you the structured breakdown of our first book, where the quote above comes from.  I hope you all had a great time celebrating the New Year.  I have an amazing story to share, but that will come tomorrow.  For today, I have a lot of catching up to do at home, so I’ll leave you with the link below from Mrs. Z’s blog, which (as always) is another powerful word of inspiration and direction.

Here is our reading list for the year:

January and February – “God, Do You Hear Me?” by Dr. Derwin Gray

March and April – “Unfettered” by Mandy Smith

May and June – “The Good Life” by Dr. Derwin Gray

July-September – The Gnostic Gospels

October and November – The Complete Apocrypha Collection

December – “Mere Christianity” by CS Lewis

Click on each title to purchase the book from Amazon. These are the same versions we purchased and will be reading from.
