8Then I heard the voice of the Lord saying, “Whom shall I send? And who will go for us?”
And I said, “Here am I. Send me!” (Isaiah 6:8)
Good morning friends. Yesterday, I, unjustly, jumped all over the joyful celebrations of another sporting championship. It was an unwarranted attack, but if you have ever read my short novella, Common Sense Reborn, you’d understand that I feel like professional sports, in America, is one of the great distractions from us growing closer to God. But who am I to judge? And to judge is that great hypocrisy Jesus spoke against often. Sure, I do not follow sports like I used to in my 20’s and early 30’s, but I still enjoy a good Savannah Bananas game. And everytime I attend one of those events, what more could I be doing with the money spent on those games? So I humbly apologize to any Lightning fans that might have felt unfairly criticized in their hour of jubilee. There is always more we can do, God is still asking who He shall send and who will go for Him. When you hear that calling on your spirit, always be ready to step forward and say, “Here I am. Send ME!”
Today’s another New Music Friday, and I am currently enjoying the song below as I write this post. So here is a great new single from 7th Time Down.
