13Now all has been heard;
here is the conclusion of the matter:
Fear God and keep his commandments,
for this is the duty of all mankind. (Ecclesiastes 12:13)
Happy Birthday America! I hope everyone reading this message has a safe and joyful holiday. I know everyone is busy, so I will keep this brief. The verse above comes at the very end of our reading today, a simple reminder to always respect God and keep His commandments, you know those first ten laws He gave directly to Moses. And if those ten are too much to remember, Jesus shortened the list to just two commandments: love God and love people. Remember that today when you are out and about and stuck in traffic for hours after the fireworks show. Have a blessed holiday y’all. Below is a great new live version of one of America’s favorite sayings: “Don’t Tread on Me.”
Reading plan: Galatians 4
Deeper reading plan: Ecclesiastes 10, 11, 12
