Happy Launch Day Friends! Today’s a big day for this little project. This last week has been a big week. The Devotional has been finished for about two weeks now, I wrote every entry through the rest of the year, then went to work at realigning the days for 2021 versions. Well, today’s the day I am sharing with y’all that a 2021 print and 2021 Kindle ebook are now available for sale! Get a copy for anyone and everyone you know who could benefit from taking the same journey you have been on this year. It’ll make a perfect Christmas present in a couple months…
Check out the CSR books page here to see the updated links for the 2021 Devotional.
October 6
19My dear brothers and sisters, take note of this: Everyone should be quick to listen, slow to speak and slow to become angry, 20because human anger does not produce the righteousness that God desires. 21Therefore, get rid of all moral filth and the evil that is so prevalent and humbly accept the word planted in you, which can save you. (James 1:19-21)
This is great advice for most of us: be quick to listen, slow to speak, slow to become angry. After you have finished this year, finished reading the Bible, cover-to-cover, the Word will have been planted in you. And as James correctly teaches, the Word CAN save you! I can personally attest to the freedom I felt when I read the Bible for the first time and understood the truth contained within it’s words. And while the freedom has been liberating, I have felt the weight of the responsibility of having the Word firmly planted in my soul, but I humbly accept that responsibility. I pray that you do the same.
Reading plan: James 3:13-18
Deeper reading plan: Hosea 6
