1Remind the people to be subject to rulers and authorities, to be obedient, to be ready to do whatever is good, 2to slander no one, to be peaceable and considerate, and always to be gentle toward everyone. (Titus 3:1-2)

As these verses state above, this is a reminder to you, be subject to those in authority.  Be obedient and ready to do whatever is good.  This was written to the church body at Crete and referenced the rulers of that church.  As a Christian, we are to be obedient to authority, but not just mindless servants following every order and directive given.  We should always be ready to stand up for what is right and prevent malicious mistreatment of the masses.  Verse 2 gives great advice to us if we need to fight for change:  do it peaceably, being considerate and gentle toward everyone.  It’s amazing what you can accomplish just by asking professionally and with courtesy.  We have laws and processes in place to create order and prevent chaos, but if you do not like the laws and want to change the process, there are proper channels and procedures to produce such change.  Follow those methods to do things the right way.
