Click on the song below and turn the volume up! This song is so much fun, I wish I had not discovered it while my kids are away. I can’t wait to dance around the living room to this beat and rejoice in the presence of our amazing God!
10And in fact, you do love all of God’s family throughout Macedonia. Yet we urge you, brothers and sisters, to do so more and more, 11and to make it your ambition to lead a quiet life. You should mind your own business and work with your hands, just as we told you, 12so that your daily life may win the respect of outsiders and so that you will not be dependent on anybody. (1 Thessalonians 4:10-12)
In this age of social media and everyone putting their business out for everyone else to put their nose in, here is a perfect reminder of how we need to be as Christians. Mind our own business. Lead a quiet life. Work with your hands. Work with your mind, and work with your heart. Be kind, be productive with your life and your work. Let love radiate through you in everything you do, so all those around you want to know what brings you such happiness and joy. That is how you bring outsiders in. Work hard, earn your keep on this earth, so as Paul states, you will not be dependent on anyone. As Christians we always have to be the shining example, the light on the hill, in everything we do. It’s a lot of pressure, it’s a lot of work, but when we are fighting for eternity, it’s worth every minute of it.
