This weekend we had the privilege to celebrate a beautiful life. I was moved in ways I had not expected and I want to share some of the most important lessons I learned from the life lived by this special angel. Today’s truth: If you want friends you have to be friendly. One of those common sense truths. Be friendly with everyone you meet, and you’ll always have plenty of friends.
Another great quote we heard while driving from Florida to Georgia comes from Elevation Church’s sermon. It’s a must see. But the guest speaker, Pastor Robert Madu who stated:
“Grace without truth is meaningless. Truth without grace is mean. Grace with truth is medicine.”
14Bless those who persecute you; bless and do not curse. 15Rejoice with those who rejoice; mourn with those who mourn. 16Live in harmony with one another. Do not be proud, but be willing to associate with people of low position. Do not be conceited. (Romans 12:14-16)
Paul shows here even more why Jesus chose him to be the face of the Christian church. Read those verses above again. They are all great instructions on how to live. Bless those who persecute you. Rejoice with those who rejoice, mourn with those who mourn. LIVE IN HARMONY WITH ONE ANOTHER! Do not be proud, do not be conceited.
Come on America! WAKE UP! The truth is crystal clear. It’s not hidden in some secret scroll to be deciphered. The way to live a Christian existence is right here in verses like this from Paul. There is nothing left to discover. We only need to put into practice the truth we constantly preach.
