9Love must be sincere. Hate what is evil; cling to what is good. 10Be devoted to one another in love. Honor one another above yourselves. 11Never be lacking in zeal, but keep your spiritual fervor, serving the Lord. 12Be joyful in hope, patient in affliction, faithful in prayer. 13Share with the Lord’s people who are in need. Practice hospitality. (Romans 12:9-13)
This paragraph above could easily be broken into five separate verses to study. They are each critically important to teaching us how to be better Christians. Love must be sincere… Hate what is evil and cling to what is good. We definitely could work on that as Americans. Be DEVOTED to one another in LOVE. Honor one another above yourselves! Never be lacking in your excitement for God, but remain passionate for serving God. Be joyful and patient in your hard times in life, and always seek guidance through prayer. Share with those who are in need. And lastly, practice hospitality always! I tell you what, if we could just get all this down, what a wonderful world this would be. So what is stopping us?
Tomorrow we wrap up Romans in our reading plan, but there’s still many great verses to study in the coming days. I pray these verses find you and take hold of your hearts and lives.
