Motivation Monday! It’s a new week, I hope you jump into it ready to serve others, lift up the name of Jesus, and help spread your faith. Sounds easy right? Believe me, I know just how hard it is to talk about Jesus in our current culture. Too many times I find myself walking away from missed opportunities.

I had a handful of missed opportunities this weekend. Not just to speak of the name of Jesus, but just to talk to the right people for the right reason: to leave them wondering where my joy and inspiration comes from. That’s the question I hope for, that easy lead in where I can simply answer: my joy comes from Jesus! But chances are that even if I get that question, I’ll miss the set-up completely. I’m working on changing that this year. I challenge you to do the same. 2020 has to be the year we get more vocal about our Savior and the reckless pursuit of His boundless grace and everlasting love.

Today I am sharing another of my favorites from Passion City Church’s worship team. I can’t wait for the release of Roar, but until then, for this week, I am sharing a handful of the tracks from my current favorite Passion Music album, 2016’s Salvation’s Tide is Rising.

25”When the dead rise, they will neither marry nor be given in marriage; they will be like the angels in heaven.”  (Mark 12:25)

In the verse above, Jesus is answering a question from the Sadducees about a poor woman whose husband dies and is forced to remarry her husband’s brother, which used to be the Jewish custom.  Then the brother dies and the next brother marries her.  And so on and so on until she is married to seven other brothers.  The Sadducees question is which husband will she be married to in Heaven?

Jesus states that in Heaven, there will be no marriages, that we will be “like angels in heaven.”  The Bible does not give us much insight on what Heaven will actually be like.  In fact, there is little to no information about Heaven in the text.  Jesus speaks about it more than any other figure in the Bible.  But even the insight Jesus offers is minimal.  So not much is known about Heaven, but what we do know is there is only one path to Heaven and that is through Jesus.  So if you have any questions regarding what Heaven will be like, save them for the end.  Live your life so you will have no question about if you are going to Heaven and you can rest assured that you will then know all there is to know about eternity and your forever home.  I am just thankful that Heaven is easily attainable for me thanks to Jesus.  I can live a humble life of thanksgiving, worship, and servitude and be gifted at the end with eternity in paradise!
