Common Sense REBORN Devotion

Two Americas, Part 2

5If you need wisdom, ask our generous GOD, and He will give it to you. He will not rebuke you for asking. 6But when you ask Him, be sure that your faith is in GOD alone. Do not waver, for a person with divided loyalty is as unsettled as a wave of the sea that is blown and tossed by the wind. 7Such people should not expect to receive anything from the LORD. 8Their loyalty is divided between GOD and the world, and they are unstable in everything they do. (James 1:5-8)

Good morning Y’all. I started this post back on July 19, so this first paragraph is slightly dated now. It is crazy how much news is developed in just two short weeks.

On Thursday, July 16, 2026, the sitting president of the United States addressed the nation. He did not do so to explain his war with Iran. He did not do so to seek repentance for his past sexual abuses as he was ordered by a federal court to pay $5.8 million to E. Jean Carroll, who he sexually abused and attempted to sue for defamation. Instead, he spout out lies for about thirty minutes about the security of America’s election system, something he never complained about when he “won” in 2024. What this was about was an attempt to sow distrust into the election system prior to the midterm elections coming up in November, where he is beginning to realize his tyrannical dictatorship will come to an end if he loses control of the Senate or Congress. You can (and should) read factcheck.org’s coverage of trump’s “Election Security Speech” by clicking here.

Moving onto the more recent verbal atrocity from trump: his hours long speech at the White House Correspondents’ Dinner was absolute word vomit and a continued disgrace from the leader of this once great country. I will only share the opening of his speech, which is as follows:

Wow, that was very beautiful, but this has not been an easy evening, all these awards. Do I have a say in those awards or those awards? But it’s great to be back at a place that I know very well because I built it. And I’m very proud of it because I built it for $2.9 billion less than the Federal Reserve Building, which is a lot smaller, by the way. Figure that one out. But I am delighted to be here at the White House Correspondents Dinner. Amazing people. A lot of people that I like. Some I don’t like at all. But I respect most of them. I must say that you do a great job, amazing job, and it’s an honor.

For the rest of his delivery of hate and discord, trump made a fool of himself attempting to tell what were supposed to be “jokes” but were cruel, idiotic attacks on journalists and political rivals. I found Jon Stewart’s coverage of the event most accurate, which you can watch by clicking the video below.

Even better than that video, is Stewart’s interview with Kaitlan Collins, who trump attacked during his speech, and seems to be infatuated with, as trump consistently comments about Collins’ appearance and how she should “smile more”. Ironically, Collins smiled quite a bit during her interview with Stewart.

I have lamented for the last two years over trump’s return to power, but I have recently come to a point of gratitude with trump being back in office. I am grateful, because it has given clarity to who we are as Americans. As I pointed out in my last post, we live in a country that is clearly divided. That post was about the wealth gap in this country after I had spent two days down in Riviera Beach, FL, where the cheapest home on the market was a cool $1 million dollar condominium. This post is to point out the other way this country is now clearly divided. You either still support this monster some call president, or you have come to your senses and realize how toxic he is. If you have not made that decision by now, there is nothing left to convince you otherwise. And if you are still on the side of pro-trump, I am extremely grateful. I do not want you crossing that line any more. You can stay in your pro-trump, pro-white-supremacy, pro-rape, pro-genocide, pro-corruption, pro-Epstein, pro-tyranny, pro-anti-Christ circle. I can only thank trump for allowing you to show your true colors, and what matters to you most. Stop calling yourselves Christian, because nothing you support falls in line with what Jesus Christ stood for. If you cannot see that by now, stop reading this post and open up your Bible. You honestly only need to read four books out of that Bible to understand what Jesus wanted from His followers. Those four books are called the Gospels, which are the Books of Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John. I have to be very clear on this, because, as I have already alluded to, if you still support trump, you, quite clearly, have never, honestly read the Bible for yourself. You most likely have picked it up here and there, clung to the verses that supported your political position or your personal beliefs, but have never really read the Words in red, the Words captured that were spoken by Jesus, who you claim to be your King and your Savior.

I mean think about it. Honestly think about it. When I pray at night, I always begin with “The Lord’s Prayer”, which pleads for God to bring His “Kingdom come, Your will be done, on Earth as it is in Heaven”. Do you honestly believe that any of this is what Heaven looks like? Do you honestly think wealth matters in Heaven? The color of our skin tone? Our political party? What gender we are? NO, none of that will matter. All that will matter is how we treated one another and how we loved one another. How we took care of this planet and how we took care of the least of us. How we represented the Christ we claim to follow and how we stood up and flipped tables against the religious elite that blasphemed in His name.

So, again, thank you donald trump. Thank you for showing America, the world, and most importantly, Jesus Christ, who your true followers are. To my King, Jesus, please, please, PLEASE, come back soon. I long for Heaven and away from this disgustingly cruel world. Away from this hypocrisy and evil tarnishing of Your name and Your legacy. I will close with the words Jesus told Peter in Matthew 16:23, for those that somehow still support this evil regime: Get behind me satan. I’m standing ten toes down on the words of Jesus. I am locked in and will not waiver. My eyes are on Heaven, where my strength comes from. Surely goodness and mercy is flowing over my life. And I will dwell in the House of the Lord forever.
