Woe to America
3This is what the LORD says: Be fair-minded and just. Do what is right! Help those who have been robbed; rescue them from their oppressors. Quit your evil deeds! Do not mistreat foreigners, orphans, and widows. Stop murdering the innocent! (Jeremiah 22:3)
I did not plan on putting a post together so quickly after my last, but yesterday, after seeing the true evil spit out by America’s pathetic president on his “truth” platform, I had to carve out some time this morning to condemn these actions. Yesterday, news broke that Robert Meuller had passed away. djt jumped on his social media account and typed out the following: “Robert Mueller just died. Good, I’m glad he’s dead. He can no longer hurt innocent people!”, followed by his signature “President (djt)”. Of course, when he signs his name, he capitalizes every letter. I only know of one other name that should be written in all caps, and that is of my LORD, who is not the LORD of djt’s life.
And if you missed it, the other evil world leader, netanyahu blasphemed the name of JESUS CHRIST in a press conference when he stated “JESUS CHRIST has no advantage over Genghis Khan. Because if you are strong enough, ruthless enough, evil will overcome good.”
Woe to you that continue to support djt. Woe to you that continue to remain silent in the face of blatant blasphemy of the name of JESUS CHRIST and those that follow the evil one and do so in the name of my LORD. You can follow your right-wing propaganda, but I will stick to the truth in the Bible as my plumbline.
Just a quick reminder of some of those truths:
The command to care for the foreigner in your land appears 36 times in the Torah, making it the most repeated injunction of those texts. In the entire Bible, this command is repeated over 400 times.
Open your Bible and read through Proverbs, the book of quick prose that outlines common sense ways to live your life. Pride and arrogance (two of djt’s strongest sins) is condemned 19 times. Also, in Proverbs is the following verses:
17Do not rejoice when your enemies fall; do not be happy when they stumble. 18For the LORD will be displeased with you and will turn HIS anger away from them. (Proverbs 24:17-18)
Here’s a few more reminders from the Bible you violate if you are a supporter of this administration:
52“Put your sword back in its place, for all who take the sword will perish by the sword.” (Matthew 26:52)
9“Blessed are those who work for peace, for they will be called the children of GOD.” (Matthew 5:9)
9“Do not repay evil with evil or insult with insult, but with blessing.” (1 Peter 3:9)
14“Make every effort to live in peace with everyone.” (Hebrews 12:14)
44“Love your enemies.” (Matthew 5:44)
The above list is being shared thanks to the great work of The Happy Givers Instagram account. It is not hard to point out the hypocrisy of any one claiming to be a Christian and supporting what America has been doing for the last 14-months. You cannot serve two masters; for you will hate one and love the other; you will be devoted to one and despise the other. You cannot serve JESUS CHRIST and be enslaved to djt. (Matthew 6:24)
I lift up the Parable of the Rich Man and the Beggar, where a rich man would walk by a beggar named Lazarus and never offer him any help, or even scraps from the rich man’s table. When the rich man died, he finds himself in “the place of the dead”, looking up toward Heaven. The rich man sees the beggar seated beside Abraham at the heavenly banquet. The rich man pleads with Abraham to send him back to earth so he can warn his brothers, so they do not meet the same fate as he. Abraham tells the rich man, “If they won’t listen to Moses and the prophets, they won’t be persuaded even if someone rises from the dead”. (Luke 16:19-31)
You have the Bible and the stories of Moses and the Prophets. You have the Bible and the specific instructions of the SON OF GOD carefully documented to instruct you in how to follow HIS teachings and carry your cross every day. You make the conscious decision of what master you serve each and every day. You make the conscious decision of where your attention goes to each and every day: studying the Bible or scrolling through your phone.
At least when Judas betrayed JESUS, it was for thirty pieces of silver.
