Common Sense REBORN Devotion

Start the Party Part 4

10My purpose is to give them a rich and satisfying life.” (John 10:10)

Kid’s Camp Day 4! Today was water day. Our church rented SEVEN huge waterslides for the kids (picture below), a bubble machine, and arranged for three Kona Ice trucks to give all the children nice cold treats while playing outside for the hour and forty-five minutes they had for activity block. It was a lot of fun. We helped out all over and missed the large group message. Every day, parents get an email that covers what the kids learned in large group, and in that email, it said that Jesus told His followers that He came to give them life, and that Jesus is the LIFE of the party. So, I believe the Bible Verse they must have used to study that was John 10:10.

Eighty-years-ago, many young men were giving their life to ensure the lives and freedom of the world were protected as they stormed the beaches of Normandy. Eighty-years-ago, the Allied Forces launched the greatest amphibious assault in the history of the world. Eighty-years-ago, the tide of the last great world began to shift toward the good guys as many Americans, British, Canadians, Australia, Belgium, Czechoslovakia, Denmark, France, Greece, the Netherlands, New Zealand, Norway and Poland participated in this great battle that the world marked today. The dwindling Veterans of that infamous day were met with standing ovations during the D-Day ceremonies today. The AP News is covering all the events in Normandy today and you can see everything going on by clicking here. Take some time today to remember these valiant heroes and all they did to crush tyranny and sacrifice their lives so that the world could have New Life after World War II.
