Start the Party Part 3

³¹“His father said to him, ‘Look, dear son, you have always stayed by me, and every thing I have is yours. ³²We had to celebrate this happy day. For your brother was dead and has come back to life! He was lost, but now he is found.” (Luke 15:31-32)

Kid’s Camp Day 3 is a wrap! We are halfway through this wonderful week and the kiddos are having such a great time. Today, these elementary age children learned about how they should throw a party whenever the lost come back to the Kingdom of God. The amazing large group leader did an awesome job breaking down the story of “The Prodigal Son”, from Luke Chapter 15, including talking about the older brother’s reaction to his father throwing a party for the return of the younger brother. The story of the Prodigal Son reminds us all, that even if we waste away all our inheritance from the Father, the Father is always waiting for our return, and is ready to throw a party for us! We have all sinned and made mistakes in our life and our walk with God, but we are never too far gone to come back home, find forgiveness, and begin a new life in Christ!

What freedom we have in knowing the truth taught in this incredible parable! So much freedom, that is worth singing about, especially when the Christian Music world releases a catchy cover of the 80s classic, “Freedom”! Click the image below and rejoice in your freedom!
