15Pharaoh said to Joseph, “I had a dream, and no one can interpret it. But I have heard it said of you that when you hear a dream you can interpret it.”
16“I cannot do it,” Joseph replied to Pharaoh, “but God will give Pharaoh the answer he desires.” (Genesis 41:15-16, The Jesus Bible)
Good morning family! I pray this post finds you all in good health, filled with peace, and overflowing with joy. The two verses above come from the mighty story of Joseph, one of the 12 sons of Israel. Joseph is one of the greatest characters of the Old Testament, and I feel like he does not get the credit he deserves. Read his story and you see that he is a stand-up guy. He is tempted by Potiphar’s wife, but he denies her sexual advances because he recognizes the blessings he has and that a lustful conquest was not worth throwing everything away. Then he is thrown in prison for false accusations and his faith remains strong throughout. And when Pharaoh brings him out of prison to help decipher Pharaoh’s dreams, Joseph recognizes where his blessings come from, as he responds to Pharaoh, “I cannot do it, but God will”.
But. God. Will.
You may not see a way out of whatever current calamity you face, but God will. You may think that you will never get out of debt, but God will. You may think you will never be good enough for the people around you, but God will. You may think you will never be able to find happiness in your career, but God will. You may think the chaos of this world will never end, but God will.
Our present and future are still in God’s hands. Place your troubles at the feet of the throne and let God and Jesus take your stress away. You were not meant to face the troubles of this world alone. God will be there with you every step of the way. Come to Him in prayer. Come to Him in worship. Watch Him wipe away all the troubles in your life. He has done it for me. He will do it for you.
Matthew West has released a brand new album. He has previously released half of the songs on this massive 22-track set. I have had the album on repeat since I listened the first time through. Mr. West continues to be one of my favorite people, as well as artists. Just listen to songs like “Greatest Hits” and “Before You Ask Her”, where he sings about his love for his wife, and his adoration for his daughters. Like Joseph in the story of Genesis, Matthew West is a true stand-up guy, who realizes his talent and blessings come from God, and he has spent his life singing about his glory. Click here to listen to the full set. Mr. West’s title for this new collection is a powerful reminder “My Story, Your Glory”. Your story is God’s glory. If you are in a hard season, it is because God’s not done with you yet. He loves you. He wants you to live a life of happiness and abundance. It may seem like there is no way that your life will ever turn around. If so, remember God will. God will roll up His sleeves, and perform miracles in your life. Here is one of my favorite songs on Mr. West’s new album, a reminder that when “the world says there’s no way, oh, that’s (God’s) finest hour”.
