At the beginning I said there were Personalities in God. I will go further now. There are no real personalities anywhere else. Until you have given up your self to Him you will not have a real self. Sameness is to be found most among the most ‘natural’ men, not among those who surrender to Christ. How monotonously alike all the great tyrants and conquerors have been: how gloriously different are the saints. (C.S. Lewis, “Mere Christianity” pg. 226)
Good morning friends and family! We are just three days away from bidding adieu to 2022. I hope you all had a blessed year like my family and I did. 2022 was a big year in the history of mankind. We saw record inflation, the world on the brink of war, the global supply chain rocked by one selfish dictator’s murderous campaign into his neighbor’s backyard. America had a very deadly summer with gun violence spiking as temperatures hit record highs around the country. All the scientists who have been beating the drums about global warming have thrown their hands in the air and said: “too late now”. But is it too late? Can we save ourselves and this precious planet?
I still believe we can bring miraculous change to this planet through simple steps to allow Earth to heal herself. We are quickly reaching the point where fossil fuels will be obsolete. Renewable energy is one big step we can take to stop polluting and pushing carbon dioxide into the atmosphere. To save humanity from itself, well that will only happen by more people reading and learning the Truth: which only comes from one source, the Holy Bible.
This year offered myself, and you, my dear readers, a great opportunity to hear the interpretations of the Truth from many different readers, and I will touch on that tomorrow. But for today, on with my countdown.
My #4 song comes from Mr. Brandon Lake’s amazing new album. Mr. Lake has had increasing exposure from Bethel to Elevation Worship, as well as being a big voice on most Maverick City Music albums. With such growing notoriety, it seemed like it emboldened Mr. Lake to put together his most daring album yet, and it was a smashing success. His new collection of ten completely unique sounding tracks on the album “HELP!” made it one of my favorite collections as well. And the title track is my #4 favorite of 2022:
Honorable mention for artists releasing different, very unique albums for 2022 were the new releases by Zauntee (The Stonebrook Project); RICHLIN (Something to Say); and Travis Greene (Tent Revival).
