Common Sense REBORN Devotion

December 19

26They will wage war with the Lamb, but the Lamb will triumph over them because he is Lord of lords and King of kings-and with him will be his called, chosen and faithful followers.”   (Revelation 17: 14)

Day #6 of Impulsive Compassion.

Good morning family!  I decided to leave the verse from Revelation up there because it is somewhat fitting for the day.  Just six days ago we made the decision to do more than we have ever done during a disaster and help those in need from the Quad-State Tornado.  We aren’t the first.  I mean, in all honesty, there have been people there since last Saturday helping out, so we are running way behind the curve.  And for all the disasters I didn’t do anything because of work, because of a lack of resources, because I let excuse after excuse get in my way, I’m a little late to my own passion party.  But, not this time.  This time we wanted to do something tangible.  This time we wanted to do something with our hands and our feet.  So today, we load-up a U-Haul and head towards the Dawson Springs area.

If you are reading this and feel inclined to give, our GoFundMe still sits at just over ¼ of the goal.  We’re asking for small donations, but we have received some large ones.  Our goal has always been just $5 per person, with the hope that everyone would at least share the GoFundMe on their social media outlets.  But that is surprisingly difficult for some people.  I don’t know if the Common Sense REBORN platform is turning people away or what is going on.  I should hope it is not.  The purpose of this blog has always been to bring more people to have a relationship with God and Jesus, to do more, to serve more, and to Love God and Love People.

Faith without works is no faith at all.  Today, finally, we put our faith to work.
