Common Sense REBORN Devotion

November 30

24To him who is able to keep you from stumbling and to present you before his glorious presence without fault and with great joy-25to the only God our Savior be glory, majesty, power and authority, through Jesus Christ our Lord, before all ages, now and forevermore!  Amen.  (Jude 24, 25)

This is the final doxology in the New Testament, the verse you will find in the print version of Common Sense REBORN DD for this year, and such a beautiful blessing I just wanted to keep it here.  Speak those words out loud.  Believe in this blessing, the blessing of Jesus, who is able to keep you from stumbling.  So that when your time on Earth is finished, you may be presented before Jesus’ glorious presence without worry, without fault and be received into His loving arms with great joy.

What an amazing Savior we have!  Jesus is there to help us rebuke the temptation of sin, He is there to forgive us when we slip, and He searches us out when we are lost.  All of that so He can be at the finish line waiting for us, with open arms.  Friends, the battle is over, the war is won.  If we could all just love a little like Jesus, we could probably solve all the problems society faces.  Tomorrow we enter the Holy month where we lift up the GLORY, the MAJESTY, the POWER, and the AUTHORITY of a baby born in a cold, lonely manger, the babe that has forever changed this broken world.  Let’s make sure we show the world how special the celebration of Christmas truly, truly is.

This weekend, I spent a lot of time reflecting on the gracious gift of life God had blessed me with. I was patrolling with Air1 playing lowly in the background, when usually I keep my car radio off, but I just wanted to steep in the Spirit, so I kept Christian music playing all night long.  I discovered a new song and a new artist that I really enjoy and I want to share the work of Mr. Patrick Mayberry with you today.  Back at the beginning of the month he released a short EP, just six songs, but every song is powerful, catchy and fantastic.  His cover of Passion’s “Breakthrough Miracle Power” had me wrecked every time I listened to it driving home from work. I have loved Passion’s version since it was first released at the beginning of the year, but I have never felt the words as I have listening to Mr. Mayberry’s version.  The words of “How You Love Me” are amazingly divine and inspirational.  But this song below, this is the one that got me hooked on this talented musician’s work.  Click below and discover for yourself.

Reading plan:  Reflect on all you learned this month.

Deeper reading plan:  Zephaniah 3:9-20
