Common Sense REBORN Devotion

September 6

1The word of the Lord came to me:  2“Son of man, you are living among a rebellious people.  They have eyes to see but do not see and ears to hear but do not hear, for they are a rebellious people.”  (Ezekiel 12:1, 2)

Throughout Jesus’ ministry, He was often recorded saying, “He who has ears, let him hear.”  (Matthew 11:15, 13:9, 13:43, Mark 4:9, Luke 8:8 and 14:35)  I always wondered where that saying came from, but after reading the above verse from today’s chapters, I have to believe this was where Jesus pulled this saying from. And here is just another example of how well versed Jesus was in the Hebrew Bible.  Those verses from Ezekiel really stuck out to me and I just had to share.

Sorry for the late post, we had a busy Labor Day, which I will touch on tomorrow when I send another of these out first thing in the morning.  I hope you all have a good night and a wonderful weekend.  Here is another great song from the album I mentioned on Friday.

That’s all I got friends, if you need some more great content, check out Mrs. Z’s blog by clicking here. She’s got a challenge for all of us. As for me, I bid you all a good night!

Reading plan:  Titus 3:9-15

Deeper reading plan:  Ezekiel 11, 12
