Common Sense REBORN Devotion

September 1

27I saw that from what appeared to be his waist up he looked like glowing metal, as if full of fire, and that from there down he looked like fire; and brilliant light surrounded him.  28Like the appearance of a rainbow in the clouds on a rainy day, so was the radiance around him. (Ezekiel 1:27, 28)

From the very beginning of the Book of Ezekiel, as the prophet describes the Angels that appear to him, this book drips with rich imagery unlike any book of the Bible we have read thus far.  It is the main reason this is my favorite book from the Old Testament.  Ezekiel’s description of God above is stunningly beautiful:  a figure full of fire, a living fire, that is surrounded by the brilliance of light “like the appearance of a rainbow in the clouds on a rainy day.”

Despite all the turmoil in the world today, remember that you are created by a God of brilliant wonder and design.  Do not let the man-made problems of this world separate you from the endless love of your Heavenly Father.  Cling to the truth that God loves you and created you for amazing things.  Keep your focus on God and Jesus and the errors of this world will always be temporary.  There are greater days ahead.

Pastor Holly Furtick preached an amazing sermon stressing who and what we connect to and how we maintain those connections this past weekend at Elevation Church.   Click the image below to hear her powerful words and see why she is just as plugged into the Holy Spirit as her husband.

Stars Go Dim just released a great new track that serves as a reminder of all the amazing miracles God still performs each and every day.
