Common Sense REBORN Devotion

August 13

16Now may the Lord of peace Himself give you peace at all times and in every way.  The Lord be with all of you.  (2 Thessalonians 3:16)

I had to go to our New Testament book to find an uplifting verse for this special day.  Today’s chapters in the Book of Jeremiah, while perfectly reflective of our current culture and world-on-fire, were a bit of a downer for what today is.  For those with the Daily Devotional, and those that have been following this blog since the beginning, you may already know that today is Mrs. Z’s birthday!  You may not realize it, but the Lord has been with all of us since the day He brought this beautiful soul down to earth.  She is just beginning to bloom and let her light shine upon a greater audience.  You can get in at the ground level and follow her amazing journey as she prepares to launch terrific things through her own blog, where she will be bringing the world wonderful words of wisdom, health and fitness guidance, and powerful insight from an incredible mother, wife, nurse, and all around Wonder Woman.  So go on over to Goodness Gravy Boats and wish Mrs. Z a very Happy Birthday!

Before we get into the new music released today, I want to share one more EP from last Friday:  another amazing release from the great team at Red Rocks WorshipThings of Heaven (Where We’re Going) brings six more beautiful tracks of worship.  I know I have shared a few of these tracks already here, but I do not think I have done so with the song below.  Either way, it’s a wonderful song to lift your hands and worship to. I’ve had this album on repeat all week.

Reading plan:  2 Thessalonians 3:1-10

Deeper reading plan:  Jeremiah 25, 26
