I hope everyone has a relaxing day of rest and worship. We’re up to #13 on my countdown, and today I’m sharing an original from We Are Messengers: “Christ Our King.”
And my favorite cover of “Mary Did You Know?” by Mr. Jeremy Camp.
December 13
19Then God’s temple in heaven was opened, and within his temple was seen the ark of his covenant. And there came flashes of lightning, rumblings, peals of thunder, an earthquake and a severe hailstorm. (Revelation 11:19)
This image from the end of Chapter 11 is the last positive image you will see until the final return of Jesus. As we will look at in the next ten days, the beast is about to be released into the world. I love the images from these verses above because it highlights the power and glory of God and the significance of the old covenant. Now in the next eight chapters we will read about the calamity prophesied to fall onto the world, all leading up to the glorious return of the King of Kings.
Reading plan: Revelation 13
Deeper reading plan: Zechariah 9
Prayer and meditation: This month we pray that the world comes together to celebrate the birth of Jesus. We pray that the miracle of the child in the manger changes this world forever, as it should have nearly 2000 years ago. This week we will also add a prayer for everyone’s financial wellbeing and peace that the pressures of the Christmas holiday do not overburden anyone’s soul.
Fitness challenge: Last day of recovery
Worship: It’s the month we celebrate our Savior’s birth. If you have not plugged into your church, make this the month you jump in wherever needed.
