CSR Daily Devotion

One last late post. I’ll be back on schedule tomorrow. I had a special request for this amazing song below, and this version is a great way to end your weekend and drift off to sleep to an incredible melody.

November 22

9Anyone who runs ahead and does not continue in the teaching of Christ does not have God; whoever continues in the teaching has both the Father and the Son.  (2 John 9)

Yesterday we read how we needed to walk in the truth of God’s command of walking in love for one another.  Today we see that John warns us about those that run ahead.  I think somewhere in our history, Christianity did exactly this.  All these religions thought they understood Christ and His teaching, so they ran ahead, but if you have looked around the world outside your window, it’s easy to see we have not been teaching the world the love of Jesus.  Instead we are still stuck on Old laws.  Maybe we need to slow down, take a steady stroll and reassess our knowledge of Jesus Christ and how we can properly walk with our Lord and accurately teach exactly what the world needs to know and understand.

Reading plan:  2 John 7-13

Deeper reading plan:  Habakkuk 2:9-20

Prayer and meditation:  Today we thank God for all those amazing parents in America who are properly raising the next generation.  We pray God gives them patience for their strong-willed children and wisdom to raise them with proper morals and ethics.  Pray for America.  Pray for peace and for love to conquer all.  Pray the revival in your heart overflows to all those around you.
