November 11-Veteran’s Day

7Dear children, do not let anyone lead you astray.  The one who does what is right is righteous, just as he is righteous.  8The one who does what is sinful is of the devil, because the devil has been sinning from the beginning.  The reason the Son of God appeared was to destroy the devil’s work.  9No one who is born of God will continue to sin, because God’s seed remains in them; they cannot go on sinning because they have been born of God.  10This is how we know who the children of God are and who the children of the devil are:  Anyone who does not do what is right  (1 John 3:7-10)

Today America celebrates all her Veterans, all those that have taken the oath to defend the Constitution, in whatever form that may have been in.  Whether as a hard-charging infantry soldier, or an intelligence analyst for the Navy, no matter what job you were tasked with for the United States, you still stepped forward and raised your right hand.  Well, if you think America’s celebration of her Veteran’s is fun and worthy, you have seen nothing compared to the celebration in Heaven that will be held for the Veteran’s of God’s Army!  And everyone can serve in that force.  So take the oath today, commit yourself to defending God’s kingdom and fighting for the freedoms of all people, and the dignity and fair treatment of all God’s children.  Commit to love above all else. Commit to bear open arms to the hurt and weary.  We have been at war with the devil ever since he sought power over the Creator of life.  Take up your cross and fight alongside the Prince of Peace for eternal salvation and eternal celebration of your service here on Earth.
