Y’all! Y’ALL! Did you hear the news yesterday? The proclamation by the world’s boldest Pope to walk the Earth. The first Pope that seems to be plugged into the Holy Spirit and the true teachings of Jesus Christ. Well, if you missed it, you can read it here. But basically, Pope Francis proclaimed this:
“Homosexual people have the right to be in a family. They are children of God,” Francis said. “You can’t kick someone out of a family, nor make their life miserable for this. What we have to have is a civil union law; that way they are legally covered.”
This was a simple truth I spoke of in Common Sense Reborn. We, as a Christian society, need to wake up to the fact that homosexuals are Children of God, and maybe, just maybe, God has designed them to be that way. That’s the common sense methodology: what makes common sense? Why would God create someone and expect them to change who they naturally love? God would never do that. He loves every child He creates. Straight, gay, extra-chromosome, blind, deaf; GOD MAKES NO MISTAKES. Pope Francis sees the truth. Do you?

13Therefore, with minds that are alert and fully sober, set your hope on the grace to be brought to you when Jesus Christ is revealed at his coming. 14As obedient children, do not conform to the evil desire you had when you lived in ignorance. 15But just as he who called you is holy, so be holy in all you do; 16for it is written” “Be holy, because I am holy.” (1 Peter 1:13-15)
Be holy because Jesus is holy. Do I have to write anything else? Is that not enough of a reason for you to live a righteous life? Is that not enough truth for you to do all you can to love God and creation above everything else in this world? Is that simple fact not all you need to motivate you to love a stranger above yourself? It is all I need. Jesus was holy. He lived a sinless life. Yet He suffered more than I have ever, and most likely will never have to face for the sins of the world. So yeah, I’m going to do all I can to be holy, to live a righteous life, to love first, to give generously without restraint, and to always seek to lift up those around me. I’m going to push you readers to do the same. You have almost read the entire Bible, you can no longer claim to be living “in ignorance.” Let’s finish this year strong and get to work.
