CSR Daily Devotion

I’m listening to Elevation Church’s message from this past weekend and I’ll be sharing that below. They are finally back to limited, in-person services and you can hear the pure joy of those in attendance. I can tell it is another anointed message from Pastor Steven Furtick. If you have time today, or this week, I hope you take a moment and listen to this powerful word. Pastor Furtick is back and on fire with a live audience again!

What you do, is up to you. But what it means, is up to me.

Our worship song of the day is a song released a few months ago, but Mr. Austin French just released the lyric video on YouTube this week, so I trust that I have not shared it since today. Enjoy.

October 20

3Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ!  In his great mercy he has given us new birth into a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead, 4and into an inheritance that can never perish, spoil or fade.  This inheritance is kept in heaven for you, 5who through faith are shielded by God’s power until the coming of the salvation that is ready to be revealed in the last time. (1 Peter 1:3-5)

Today we begin looking at Peter’s two epistles.  Peter, the man who Jesus said would be the rock the Christian church would be built upon.  The only disciple to step out of the boat and walk on water with Jesus.  The one who loved Jesus more than any other.  And he jumps right in with beautiful prose for our new birth into a living hope!  Two days ago we read James speak against wealth, today we read how Peter speaks about an inheritance that “can never perish, spoil or fade.” An inheritance that is protected for you in heaven by God’s power and will be revealed to us all at the end of time.  This is the wealth you should strive to secure in this lifetime, an inheritance into the eternal kingdom.
