Here’s a catchy tune from a newly emerging artist in Christian Music. I love discovering new songs to share with y’all. I hope you enjoy this one as much as I have this week!

2For since the message spoken through angels was binding, and every violation and disobedience received its just punishment, 3how shall we escape if we ignore so great a salvation?  This salvation which was first announced by the Lord, was confirmed to us by those who heard him.  4God also testified to it by signs, wonders and various miracles, and by gifts of the Holy Spirit distributed according to his will.  (Hebrews  2:2-4)

The author of Hebrews is arguing to the Hebrew nation that ignoring the salvation brought to mankind through Jesus would be a grave mistake.  God announced the coming of Jesus, and “testified” to Jesus’ purpose through signs, wonders, and the miracles Jesus was able to perform while on Earth.  And again, as I have mentioned before, the miracle of Pentecost when the Holy Spirit fell on many in attendance.

This letter was written while many Hebrews who may have witnessed these events first hand were still alive.  Many of those witnesses were among the first Christian converts.  The warning to the world to not ignore the salvation of Christ is just as strong now as it was to the Hebrews.  We may not have the miracles as prominently as these people did during the age of Jesus, but what we do have is thousands of years of testimony after testimony of the power of God and the divine grace from Jesus Christ.  We just need more people willing to tell their story and share it with the world, so the disobedient and disbelieving shall come to know the truth of Christ.

Prayer and meditation:  Pray for our country.  Pray for love to conquer all.  Pray for God’s wings of protection to cover all the children returning to school.  Pray that Christ infects our hearts and ignites a final fire of revival to sweep this land.

Fitness challenge:  Day 10-10 reps of the following:

  1. Hand-release Push-up
  2. Sit-up
  3. Jumping squat
  4. Leg lift
  5. Burpees

Distance run day.  We’re going to stay at 4 miles for a few weeks.
