CSR Daily Devotion

Going to keep it short today, so you can get right to Mrs. Z’s devotion. Here’s Brandon Lake’s new song, where he shows off his vocal range.

August 19

12I thank Christ Jesus our Lord, who has given me strength, that he considered me trustworthy, appointing me to His service.  13Even though I was once a blasphemer and a prosecutor and a violent man, I was shown mercy because I acted in ignorance and unbelief.  14The grace of our Lord was poured out on me abundantly, along with the faith and love that are in Christ Jesus.  (1 Timothy 1:12-14)

We all resonate with Paul’s testimony above.  Jesus has forgiven us and strengthened us to be a part of His ministry.  No matter what career field you are in right now, our greatest job, the one we’ve been put on this Earth to do, is discipleship.  We must bring people to Jesus.  If you are unsure of how to do this, I highly suggest you simply talk to Jesus.  Pray for His wisdom and guidance in bringing you to opportunities to shine a light on Him.  The easiest action to start with is loving those around you.  Let your life be a beacon of light that shines straight to Jesus.  People should never question if you’re a believer or not.  It should show in your speech, the way you talk to others, your actions, the way you treat others and your attitude.  Be filled with joy my friends!  We are all a work in progress (including myself).  Let’s make it our goal to be better everyday.  Pray each morning for Jesus to present an opportunity to you that allows you to show His love to others.  Share with me in the comments below what Jesus is telling you to do!

Prayer and meditation:  Pray for our country.  Pray for love to conquer all.  Pray that Christ infects our hearts and ignites a final fire of revival to sweep this land.

Fitness challenge:  Keeping it at the same intervals as Monday:  25 reps for 3 rounds.
