A lot of great Christian music came out today. Most notably was the new album from We The Kingdom, which I will be sharing many of those songs later in the week. But before we get there, I’ll be sharing some of my favorite singles released this week, starting with the new release by Lecrae: Zombie.
4But you, brothers and sisters, are not in darkness so that this day should surprise you like a thief. 5You are all children of the light and children of the day. We do not belong to the night or to the darkness. (1 Thessalonians 5:4-5)
So to recap from the last two days: Jesus’ second coming, great! The Day of the Lord, not so great, at least not for many in the world. Just make sure you are standing on the right side of the line between light and darkness. Be a child of the light and of the day. As Christians, Paul points out, we do “not belong to the night or to the darkness.” So make sure you are living on the right side of humanity. Do not keep jumping back and forth between the good to the bad. You have used the last 8 months to become better Christians, better citizens, better people. Do not go back to your old self, your old life. Unless it’s to bring others with you into the light. That’s okay, you can do rescue missions all day long. Let’s rob the darkness of its population. Let’s make the world a place for good, a place for salvation. Why wait for heaven when we can bring heaven on earth? Why not here, why not now?
