For today’s song of the day, I’m sharing a song from the new hip-hop album from JesusGang. When I say that there’s Christian music for every avenue of music, I am not lying. I’m loving Trap Gospel 2, it reminds me of my youth when I was constantly banging beats. Now I can still bang, but I can do it with clean music focused on Jesus!

9If you declare with your mouth, “Jesus is Lord,” and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved.  10For it is with your heart that you believe and are justified, and it is with your mouth that you profess your faith and are saved.  11As Scripture says, “Anyone who believes in him will never be put to shame.”  12For there is no difference between Jew and Gentile-the same Lord is Lord of all and richly blesses all who call on him, 13for, “Everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved.”  (Romans 10:9-13)

Paul writes in a lot of his letters about the saving grace of just believing in Jesus.  Which is, obviously, the first step of finding salvation.  Because salvation is found in Christ alone, so to find the only source of salvation, you need to believe in the one who will bring you eternal life.  But believing in Christ is just the FIRST step.  It has to be the building block.  The cornerstone.  But, just because you believe in Jesus, does not guarantee your salvation when you continue to judge others.  When you continue to waste your resources on useless things and treasures that only rust and gather dust.  When you spend your time wasted away watching daytime talk shows or sitting behind a computer scrolling, retweeting, or simply reading.  As we saw at the end of each Gospel, Jesus commanded His disciples to go out into the world and bring change.

Paul did not have Gospels to read or study.  He just had the amazing life changing experience he suffered that brought him to believe Christ was the Messiah.  So for Paul, he felt like his salvation was wrapped in his believing in Christ as the Son of God.  What Paul did not realize because he was living it, is that Paul was doing more than just believing in Christ.  He was preaching a message of Christ in each of these letters he wrote, and in person as he traveled around the center of the modern world at that time.  So Paul was never without acting on his faith.  Paul was living his faith through his work.  So salvation was never found in faith alone, but in faith and WORK.

There is much work that needs to be done.  Never in the past twenty years has there been a time when we could easily point people to the accurate representation of who Jesus is thanks to technology.  Now’s the time to get the world to see the real Jesus, the world changing Jesus, the love EVERYONE Jesus.
