The End of Days
2“I will make you into a great nation, and I will bless you; I will make your name great, and you will be a blessing. 3I will bless those who bless you, and whoever curses you I will curse; and all people on earth will be blessed through you.” (Genesis 12:2-3)
Earlier this week, conservative pundit Tucker Carlson and Senator Ted Cruz sat down for a two-hour interview that surprisingly became a heated debate over the imploding Israel-Iran war. Carlson successfully argued why the US should not become involved in another Middle-East conflict, whereas Cruz’s entire argument centered over him misquoting the Holy Bible saying that God states: “Blessed are those who bless Israel, and cursed are those who curse Israel”. Carlson quickly countered Cruz’s misquote by asking if God was referring to a nuclear-armed Israel when God spoke the above words. The answer is: God was not. In fact, God gave that original blessing to Abram, long before he became Abraham, the patriarch of Judaism, Christianity, and Islam. God promised that He would make Abram into a great nation, that will be a “blessing” to the world. In case you have not been following current events, the nation of Israel has been far from a blessing for those in the Middle-East. What is comedic about Cruz misquoting the above verse as a Christian, is that it shows he has no accurate knowledge of the story of ancient Israel and of Jesus’ call for Christians. Throughout the Old Testament, God cursed the nation of Israel over-and-over again when they turned to idol worship and began following the ways of the world. God only blessed the nation of Israel when they repented from their evil ways and followed God’s instructions for them to live by. This is an important reminder to anyone who claims to follow the Creator God, Yahweh, especially for current-day America who has placed political idolatry over serving their LORD. America worships the beast who touts his MAGA mark on his forehead every single day. Then as we blindly and falsely support Israel, as they are committing horrible atrocities against innocent civilians in the Gaza Strip and West Bank, which the world will soon see done to the people of Iran, we are ignoring everything Jesus taught us. As Christians, we should believe that Jesus is the Son of God, who came to earth to set the record straight and teach us the final truth of how to live, how to earn salvation, and how to treat one another. Jesus was murdered by the Israel nation because they rejected His claim that He was the Messiah and the Son of God. If Jesus is who we claim, as Christians, to believe He is, then Israel has no clout. The nation of Israel still continues to reject Jesus as the Son of God, so why do we so quickly jump into their corner whenever they start a senseless war? Jesus came to bring the truth that every person on this earth is a child of God, whether they are Iranian, Israeli, Palestinian, Russian, Ukranian, or American. We are blessed to be born in the country we are born. Nothing we have done in our lives helped determine what country we are born in, so for those of us that are born in a Christian nation, free to worship and live the way we want, we have the ultimate responsibility to bring the love and truth of Jesus to the world that is still lost. Every faith that does not recognize Jesus as the Son of God and the Messiah is lost. And as I have written many times on this platform, Islam, at least, recognizes that Jesus was born of a virgin birth and is even believed to be the Messiah. Jesus is quoted more times than the Prophet Muhammed in the Quran. So, Islam, despite seeming to be the enemy of Christianity, gives more reverence to Jesus than Judaism. Judaism, despite having 400 prophecies in the Tanakh (The Old Testament) referring to Jesus, to this day, refuses to see Jesus as anything more than just a prophet. Think about that before you foolishly rush to support Israel’s unnecessary wars, especially the fights they choose to start. There is only one true King, one truth, one way, and that is Jesus Christ, the Prince of PEACE.
