Daniel, Part 5, The Writings on the Wall
5Suddenly, they saw the fingers of a human hand writing on the plaster wall of the king’s palace, near the lampstand. The king himself saw the hand as it wrote, 6and his face turned pale with fright. His knees knocked together in fear and his legs gave way beneath him. (Daniel 5:5-6)
Did you know that the saying “the writing’s on the wall” comes from the Book of Daniel, Chapter 5. The saying has come to mean that there are plainly written warnings that something bad is going to happen, and despite clear warnings, those reading the words choose to ignore them. Well, in Daniel 5, King Nebuchadnezzar’s son, Belshazzar, has taken his father’s place. As I mentioned last post, King Neb (for short), refused to humble himself before God and at this point is running around the wilderness losing his mind. His son sees a ghostly apparition write three words on the wall. King Belshazzar calls Daniel in the interpret the words and Daniel explains that they mean ‘numbered’, ‘weighed’, and ‘divided’. God had numbered the days of the Babylonian empire. Their sins have been weighed, and as punishment for those sins, the Babylonian kingdom would be conquered and divided among the Medes and Persians. Unfortunately, before the King had time to try to correct the sins of his nation, he was killed, and Darius the Mede took over.
Well, America, the writings on the wall for us. Our current president is totting a plan to end the illegal invasion of Ukraine from Russia if President Zelensky signs a deal to pay back the estimated $300 Billion the US has invested into Ukrainians defenses through the access to their country’s rich, and untapped, precious metal resources. This is not the first time president trump has sought to extort the Ukrainians. The first time was back in 2019, when he attempted to withhold approved military aid in exchange for Ukraine digging up dirt on Joe Biden’s son, a scandal that eventually saw trump impeached over. So once again, trump is looking to exploit what Ukraine has: their country’s extremely valuable precious minerals, such as lithium and titanium, along with other minerals that have become key components of electric vehicle battery production. As Jimmy Kimmel put it during his monologue on Thursday night, “if only trump knew someone that could benefit” from this unhinged access to these minerals. If you wonder why Elon Musk has been so invested in keeping trump as his puppet, it is because Musk has reaped the benefits of every action the president has taken. Musk has reportedly made a fortune since trump took office. His company, Starlink, is being considered for a $2 billion dollar contract from the FAA. And now, if Zelensky gives half of his country’s precious mineral access to the US, you can bet Musk will profit from this in epic amounts. The open corruption in the first forty days of trump’s presidency is mindboggling. Yet, the dynamic duo’s main attacks on government spending have gone after programs that have helped some of the poorest and most vulnerable people in this country and around the world. So, the writing is on the wall as to who is really in control of our country. A man whose entire focus is anti-everything Jesus stood for. Anti-foreigner. Anti helping the poor. Anti healing the sick. Anti housing the homeless. Anti helping those that served this country. Basically, Anti-Christ.
The writing is on the wall. The world will fall away until Only the Father Remains. Get ready, because just like for King Belshazzar, America’s days have been numbered, weighed, and divided.
