Common Sense REBORN Devotion

The Mark of the Beast

3I saw that one of the heads of the beast seemed wounded beyond recovery-but the fatal wound was healed! The whole world marveled at this miracle and gave allegiance to the beast. 4They worshiped the dragon for giving the beast such power, and they also worshiped the beast. “Who is as great as the beast?” they exclaimed. “Who is able to fight against him?” (Revelation 13:3-4)

Happy Tuesday y’all. I had to sit down and put a post together to share what I learned last week listening to The Holy Post‘s latest episode “Heritage Americans & Palestinian Christians“. Phil Vischer, Skye Jethani, and Kaitlyn Schiess have been offering up amazing COMMON SENSE commentary on the assassination attempt of Donald Trump and trying to keep America focused on what matters the most: Keeping Donald Trump out of the White House. Just today as I opened Microsoft Edge, the latest headlines are from Trump stating that if he wins this election, Americans will not “have to vote again.” Trump added. “We’ll have it fixed so good you’re not going to have to vote.” I have spoken to my family and close circle on how I foresee America’s future if Trump is re-elected as President, but now I will share it with you: He will become a tyrant who will never yield his power again. As Skye Jethani points out in their discussion of messianic prophecy in regard to “God sparing Donald Trump’s life”, Skye calls out the two verses above, which speak of the beast that the devil elevates to power to deceive the world. This beast suffers a head wound and the world marvels at “this miracle” of the beast surviving what should have been a fatal injury. So, perhaps we need to rethink who actually spared Trump’s life. Whether it was the devil or God who spared Trump, one thing is certain: we are marching toward the climatic end to mankind’s story, the events of Revelation. And as horrible as these events will be, at least we know the ending. Christ is coming sooner than later. And He does not care about your political party. He cares about how you have treated others during your time on earth. He cares about how you were compassionate to the least of us. He cares how you loved your enemy. He especially cares about how you treated the foreigners, the widows, the sick, the poor, and the orphan. So, if you are looking for guidance on who to vote for this November, pick the candidate that focuses more on the things important to Jesus Christ (hint, Jesus did not care about patriotism, was anti-violence, and stood against the religious elite). I really do not want to flood this blog with political ramblings, but until America pulls their head out of their fourth point of contact, I guess I have to.
