Writings on the Wall
13I can do all things through Christ which strengthens me. (Phillipians 4:13)
Hello Family. I am back. Both in the States, and back on here to share some words and thoughts with y’all. My last post was exactly two weeks ago, when I shared the sermon I delivered while waiting in Germany to fly home and wrap-up our tour in Europe. That was a whirlwind of activity: returning to the States late in the evening on May 9, and sneaking home and surprising my two oldest kids (they thought I was not coming home until the end of May). I was blessed with the opportunity to attend my oldest child’s season finale in Cheer competition. I will soon be writing posts about the joys of being a “Cheer Dad” and how we can use that opportunity to grow the Kingdom. Last week was busy out-processing from Active Duty and spending time catching up with the family. Yesterday, I began my 26-days of accrued leave before my orders officially end and I exchange my “green-suit” for my SPD blues.
There is a lot going on in the world right now, and I will touch on that this coming week. I am going to share a Bible verse from the wall art that hangs in our kitchen each day, starting with the verse above. The men in my neighborhood are eager to get our weekly Bible Study started again. We are going to read the entire Holy Bible, cover-to-cover, and follow the Common Sense REBORN Daily Devotional: Deployed (CSRD3) reading plan. If you still have not purchased a copy of this devotional, you can do so by clicking the link above. And if you can not afford to purchase one at this time, use the contact page for this blog to send me a message and I will send you a free, autographed copy. My goal is for you to read the entire Holy Bible and let those words change your life.
Because I just read the entire Bible while on deployment, what I want to do in the next nine months is really dig into my Life Application Study Bible and read all the footnotes. While in Poland, I decided to stop reading all the opinions and research that the LAS Bible offered because it was really slowing my reading of the Bible, which resulted in a slower pace for me to finish writing CSRD3. So, starting in about two and a half weeks, this blog will be committed to sharing what I am learning from that Bible as we work our way through the entire Word of God over the next nine months. And, as always, I will be sharing all the amazing new music coming out of the Christian Genre, like the amazing new worship track from the great ones: Elevation Worship.
