Common Sense REBORN Devotion

24One of the twelve disciples, Thomas (nicknamed the Twin), was not with the others when Jesus came. 25They told him, “We have seen the Lord!”

But he replied, “I won’t believe it unless I see the nail wounds in his hands, put my fingers into them, and place my hand into the wound in his side.” (John 20:24-25)

I hope you all had a wonderful time celebrating Resurrection Day! I want to stay in the Gospels for a few more days before moving onto the new project I alluded to on Sunday. Today is a good precursor for the current book I have started reading that I will be sharing with you over the next three weeks.

I was gifted with a copy of Cold Case Christianity, and it is about a modern day “Doubting Thomas”. Although the author of Cold Case was much more than a doubter, J. Warner Wallace was an atheist who took his decades of cold-case investigative work to prove the Gospels wrong, and in doing so found that Jesus was the truth he was desperately missing in his life. I am just three chapters into this masterful work and can not wait to share it with y’all. But until then, let’s spend a few more days looking back at all Jesus did in the days and weeks after He rose from the grave.

Pastor Steven Furtick preached an amazing word about that great “In Between” for his Easter sermon at Elevation Church. Click the link below and hear how the Disciples found themselves in between grief and glory that first Easter morning.

There were so many great new Christian music releases these last two weeks. I am glad to have to opportunity to share more of those with y’all. 7 Hills Worship released a stirring new album. The single below is one of my favorites, but I invite you to listen to the whole set by clicking here.
