Common Sense REBORN Daily Devotion

August 11

7He said to them:  “It is not for you to know the times or dates the Father has set by his own authority.  8But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes on you; and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth.”  (Acts 1:7-8)

Hello family.  It’s been almost two weeks since I last posted.  A lot has happened in my life, and in the world around us.  I have been thinking about y’all a lot lately and praying all is well.  But I wanted to get on here and share some outreaches that are headed to Maui, or are already there.  If you have not seen the news about the Hawaiian wildfires that are decimating the island of Maui, you can get caught up by clicking here.  If you are able to, please click on one of the links below to donate to their mission.

These are just a few and I am sure the list will be growing as more organizations rush in.

I have been busy, attempting to rush through a new print edition of the Common Sense REBORN (CSR) Daily Devotion, with a new reading plan, now designed to get you through the entire Holy Bible in just 8-months.  I was copying-and-pasting many of the devotionals from the 2022 edition, and I was finding myself disappointed in much of my old writing.  So I pumped the brakes on this project, which I was attempting to finish within the next month.  By doing so, I have freed my mornings up again and I can get on here at least three times a week to try to share a positive word with y’all.  And then by this time next year, I will have a much better product available, a final edition of the CSR Daily Devotional.  This one will have the abbreviated title: CSRD3, which will stand for Common Sense REBORN Daily Devotional:  DEPLOYED.

If you have not been listening to Pastor Steven Furtick for the last three weeks, you have been missing out.  He has put together an unexpected continual series that has been incredible.  He started with “The God of Also,”  which he dropped coming home from his powerful three night blitz for the Elevation Nights tour.  Then Pastor Furtick dropped “The God of Again” last weekend, and this past Sunday, he hit the world with part three:  “The God of Already”.  You have to listen to all three, but at the very least, click the video below and be blessed.

And with me not posting on here I have not been able to share any of the amazing new music coming out.  There has been way too much to even begin to share here now, but below, you will hear one of my new favorites on repeat from Mr. Brandon Lake.
